The last thing you want to deal with when you’re out for a vacation in some nice tropical countries is a lost luggage. Worse, the officials from both the airline and the airport often come up with typical apologetic phrase like “We’re sorry for the inconvenience, sir.” which clearly doesn’t help at all. Considering how frequent such incident happens to overseas travelers, Airbus decided to step in with a solution called as Airbus Bag2Go.
It’s not every day you see a gigantic airplane manufacturing company like Airbus dip its toes and willing to go through the hassle, producing something as small as a travel luggage. That aside, Airbus Bag2Go seems to be the ultimate solution for those who often lose their baggage as it is made with a bunch of tracking systems built in. These include a GPS, RFID, and 2G connectivity. To make the tracking even easier, users are allowed to sync the bag with their iPhone, giving them real-time monitoring at hand.
In addition to its tracking feature,Airbus Bag2Go can also help travelers bypass the typically dragging airport checking. All they have to do is checking in the bag and they can head over to the hotel right away as the couriers will know where to send it. At the moment, Bag2Go is only a prototype. No information regarding its availability and starting price is disclosed, so don’t get too excited. Who knows that probably later the company will realize that manufacturing airplanes is much more profitable business and eventually ditch the luggage?
