Handpresso : Handheld Espresso Machine Suited for Your Car
Unless you’re a born barista, you will need a full-fledged espresso machine to make a good shot of black espresso. But let’s face it. Such machine can easily cost over 1,000 bucks and isn’t designed to provide portability for the users. So, you will need to stay at home to enjoy the espresso. That’s at least until a France-based designer named Henriech Nielson showed off his handheld espresso machine.
Dubbed as Handpresso, the machine appears almost like a handy thermos with a few control dials on the outside. It runs on 12V power, supplied by your car’s cigarette lighter socket. So, when you’re out for a trip in some remote desert in Arizona and happen to carry a long a bag of your favorite coffee, this should serve you a cup of decent espresso.
Still, the process might be a little challenging if your car isn’t equipped with a cup holder. The last thing you want to do is pouring a hot espresso shot onto a cup that you place on your car seat. Make a slight wrong step and you’ll end up with a nasty spill on your car’s seat which will leave a persistent stain for sure. Check it out on the video below!
To start concocting the espresso, users will have to fill the reservoir with water. There is a handy indicator which tells you when you should stop, so the water won’t end up overflowing. Next up, they have to get the coffee pod on the lid and tightly screw it, so the pressure can be distributed evenly. Lastly, switch on the Handpresso. Though it’s small in size, it makes so loud a racket. Grab it on its website for 150 euros.
