The last thing you want to do if you have a nice swimming pool in your backyard is cleaning it. You have to drain out the water then scrub the floor to remove the algae or whatever unsightly dirt you found there. You may argue that it helps make some sweat but the fact is cleaning your swimming pool isn’t fun at all. So, iRobot has come up with a solution. With its brand new Mirra 530, the company wants you to have a barbeque party next to your pool and watching its mech do the entire chore.

Mirra 530 isn’t the first pool-bot made iRobot. Long before it, the company introduced three models of Verro, each with different functionality and specifications. Nevertheless, none of them was more advanced than iRobot Mirra 530. One major difference can be looked from its wheel base. The treads which used to be prevalent on the company’s older mech are replaced by a pair of large wheels. iRobot believes that this can make its mech to navigate more easily underwater. Check it out in action on the video below!

In addition to the new wheels, iRobot Mirra 530 also features a better filter and sucking pump. The filter is capable of trapping dirt measuring as tiny as 2 microns while the pump cam process water up to 70 gallons per minute. Still, its most interesting feature is iAdaptNautiq. Basically it’s a smart mapping functionality which enables the device to intelligently perceive how dirty your pool is and decide the right cleaning mode. It’s expected to launch this spring and will sell for $1,300.
