LapTouch Is Designed for Disorganized Genius
Genius and creative workers alike have very few times to mind the neatness of their living space. In fact, some of them purposely leave their rooms and desktop unorganized and messed up so they can keep imagining a concept of true beauty and make it into reality. However, sometimes all of such disorganization is so ugly it can hurt your eyes. In this situation, an all-in-one device like LapTouch can be a life saver.
Designed by a France-based designer, Amir Labidi, LapTouch is a blend between a laptop, touchscreen device, multimedia player, and also graphic tablet. It may sound too much for you but you’ve seen those people who work with all three PCs simultaneously. Labidi himself is a graphics artist who has constantly felt the pain of having to carry and deal with two different devices. Thinking that some other creative workers also share the same problem, he decided to venture in this project.
The major difference between common laptop and Labidi’s LapTouch is its extremely wide touchpad which takes up almost two third of the whole space. According to him, such touchpad is designed to also act as a graphic table on which you can use your graphic pen. Next to the touchpad, there are four directional buttons which are touch-sensitive and can be handy for scrolling and zooming. As for the screen, apparently, it does not only support touch operation but is also equipped with reversible hinge.
At the moment, LapTouch is just a concept but if it eventually makes it stepping into mass production, this can be a pretty decent alternative for the extremely costly Wacom Cintiq. If you want it, you’d better hope that the viral publication going on some major social networks is enough to convince manufacturing companies to fund this concept.
