Mophie Juice Pack Helium Doubles Your iPhone 5 Battery Life
Apple introduced iPhone 5 with all its might a few months ago. We were all excited until we notice that it suffered from short battery life. If you’re not happy with that, then you probably need something like this Mophie Juice Pack Helium case. In a nutshell, it’s a protective case which doubles as an external battery.
While there are many other typical cases which promise you longer battery life, Mophie Juice Pack Helium is the first one that is certified as battery case solution for iPhone 5. The extra juice it gives you measures in 1,500mAh. Even though it’s not quite huge, the case does bulk up your iPhone 5 by 0.62-inch. Overall finish is smooth but unfortunately it also spells it’s prone to greasy fingerprints. Check out the promotional video below!
Another thing to note from Mophie Juice Pack Helium is that its chunkiness may prevent you from plugging in third party headphones. Thankfully, Mophie includes an extension to solve that. Also, you have to start getting used to syncing your data via Wi-Fi because Passbook is blocked when this case is enclosed to your iPhone 5.
Mophie Juice Pack Helium is offered at $80 a pop which is kind of too expensive for me. As comparison, Mophie’s powerstation mini offers 2,500mAh external battery for only $60 and the company’s powerstation PRO which has 6,000mAh power capacity only costs $20 more than the Helium. Sure, they can’t be used as a protective case like the Helium can but I don’t think such functionality can justify its costly price tag. Any thoughts, guys?
