V-MODA Vamp Verza Released: Audiophiles, Watch Out!
It’s not easy to satisfy hard headed audiophiles, unless you have a very extensive installation of home audio system that can easily cost a few grand. That said, there are essentially no mobile devices that can give in the excitement any audiophiles demand, not with their original specifications. Realizing this, V-MODA tries its luck by launching its new Vamp Verza, the world first headphone amp and DAC for smartphones.
There are sure many things to talk about with V-MODA Vamp Verza but on its core, it’s a smartphone dock with slide-in mechanism capable of delivering high fidelity audio to the users. For the housing, V-MODA chooses to use Metallo case which alone costs $100 in the market. Due to different form factors, not all devices are supported. Currently, it’s exclusive only for Samsung Galaxy S III but V-MODA says it’s going to release its variants compatible with iPhone 5, Galaxy S IV, and also Galaxy Note II. Tap on the video below to see a walkthrough of its features.
On its bottom, V-MODA Vamp Verza sports both USB and microUSB ports to address both iOS and also Android devices. These ports are used as a way to direct the audio output to come out through its 150mW x 2 amplifier, instead of the handsets’ built-in speaker. Each of these ports has built-in DACs which are meant to set the audio output to various power levels.
On its top, a control dial which also acts as power switch sits neatly. Additionally, to make sure the excitement will last for long, V-MODA Vamp Verza ships with a 2,200mAh battery. Available in black, shadow, and white, you need to dish out nearly $600 to get one V-MODA Vamp Verza.
